Starting a renovation or interior project usually comes with questions. This page is here to clarify how I work, what kinds of projects are a fit, and what to expect as we begin working together.

Common Questions

What kinds of projects do you take on?

1

Vibe works on residential interiors with a focus on thoughtful renovation, custom cabinetry, and spaces that require both design vision and detailed coordination.

Projects may include kitchens, bathrooms, built-ins, utility spaces, furnishing plans, and broader interior scopes depending on the home and the goals for the project.

How do projects begin?

2

Every project begins with a Design Consultation. This is the first step in working together and the point where we begin to understand the home, the priorities, the challenges, and the overall scope.

From there, the right path becomes clearer. Some projects move into full-service interior design, some center more heavily on cabinetry, and others require broader coordination through construction and installation.

Is the Design Consultation paid?

3

Yes. The Design Consultation is a paid engagement and the first step in working together.

It is intended to provide clarity, direction, and a more thoughtful starting point than a quick introductory call. We use that time to evaluate the space, discuss priorities, and determine what kind of support the project requires.

What happens during the Design Consultation?

4

The Design Consultation is a two-part process.

First, we meet at your home to walk through the space, discuss your goals, what is and is not working, and the level of change you are considering.

After that visit, I prepare a fee proposal, a visual mockup of a key space, and an investment range for the full project scope. We then meet at the Vibe studio to review everything together and determine the right next steps.

Do you offer full-service interior design or only cabinetry?

5

Vibe offers full-service interior design with a particular strength in custom cabinetry. Cabinetry is often central to the work, but the goal is not to treat it as an isolated element when it should be part of a more cohesive whole.

Some projects are more cabinetry-focused, while others involve a broader interior scope. The consultation helps determine the right level of design involvement for the home.

Do you work on kitchens, bathrooms, and built-ins?

6

Yes. Many projects include kitchens, primary baths, storage spaces, built-ins, and other areas where layout, function, and detailed cabinetry matter most.

The work is always shaped around the house as a whole, so even when one room is the focus, the goal is a result that feels connected to the rest of the home.

Do you work with contractors and trades?

7

Yes. Vibe Cabinetry and Design Co. is a North Carolina licensed general contractor, so the work is grounded in both design vision and construction reality.

Part of the process often involves coordinating with trades, vendors, and other professionals to ensure the design carries through execution with clarity and intention.

Whether the project requires full GC services or design coordination with your existing builder, the goal is the same: a result that works in practice, not just on paper.

What areas do you serve?

8

Vibe serves Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Cary, Wake Forest, Apex, Holly Springs, Fuquay-Varina, Clayton, Garner, and surrounding Triangle areas.

If you are nearby and not sure whether your project falls within that range, the best place to start is still the consultation inquiry.
